Topic: Joan of Arc
This is my second entry in the Sketch Tavern's Mega Time Tournament for round two. I'm putting this up now 'cause I'm really just itching to share what I pulled off (in two days...kinda dissapointed that I rushed this). I want to go back and fix it up a bit before I submit a print version. I was really happy though with the drawing all around...and the fact that I didn't use a single reference for the horses.
I didn't mean to make Joan that blonde, but ah well. The banner behind her is her actual standard given to her for leading the army (well, a slight interpretation anyway). The man on the far right yelling is "Jack", for those of you who read the play Saint Joan
. I'm really glad 
, the boss of my tourney bracket, gave us such an awesome topic 
Drawn with a 2b mechanical pencil on comic paper, colored in photoshop. Kept hand-drawn lines this time...I like them better that cleaned up lines on the computer.

Incredibly absent minded and not nearly cynical enough.
Good atmosphere, lighting and overall composition, i do have to agree that right hind leg of the horse "seems" a little too separated, but thats just my 2 cents.
