Here's a glimpse into what I probably would have been doing for my art career had I not gotten into animation!
This is one of two birthday presents for my twin brothers, who's birthday was on the 22nd (the day Indy 4 came out, hence this theme!). I wanted to portray it via Drew Stuzan-ish, who was my biggest artistic influence in high school and my introduction into commercial art. Studying his work helped solidify my illustration skills at the time.
Took only two days. Conte on toned paper, which is a little different that what Struzan usually uses (colored pencil on toned), though it's my own composition. I actually went and bought new dvd's of the movies so I could get good screen grabs!
This one was for , whom you should REALLY bug to put up more of his photography! Even with how busy the Navy keeps him, he still finds time to shoot stuff, and has been to some great places.
Oh wow, what quality work. I'm such a sucker for toned paper and conte. I only wish I could render it like you, holy CRAP.
The eyes are my favorite part, along with his deltoid. That sounds funny, and I can't explain why, but I LOVE how that looooks! I know you want a critique, but I can't find anything wrong.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

Advice: Don't take singing lessons from obsessive basement-dwelling ex-circus freaks. It never turns out well.
